UK price-adjusted comparison

How much better must the expensive one be?

Enter today’s UK checkout prices in GBP. This tool shows the economic hurdle the premium product must clear. It does not invent a lifespan or hide unknown reliability inside a synthetic score.

Compare the transaction

Why ask for your own prices?Because a fixed product score can stay the same while the buying decision flips after a price cut.
Premium / cheaper price
Cheaper-unit budgets inside premium purchase price
Average cheaper-unit life needed to match premium purchase-cost pace
Continuous purchase-cost boundary: assumes the premium unit lasts the full horizon; not a durability forecast.
Upfront premium
Value of avoided hassle
Unknown × consequence
Read the output correctly

This is a hurdle, not a prediction.

If the premium costs two cheaper units, that does not prove the cheap product is better. It means the premium must justify why buying more reliability, support or capability today is worth more than replacement flexibility.

Low-consequence task

Robot vacuum, pool cleaner or mower with a manual backup: price headroom can rationally compensate for weak long-term evidence.

High-consequence system

Heat pump, storage or installed home equipment: downtime, installation and service can dominate simple replacement math.

Price changes the answer

The same product can move from SKIP to CONSIDER to BUY as its price falls relative to a more established alternative.
