What this website collects
Ordinary web-hosting logs may contain IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser/user-agent and technical error information. Useworthy does not intentionally use the public-alpha site to build advertising profiles.
If you submit evidence, the form may store the product/model, category, evidence type, version, usage hours, intervention count, source URL, free-text summary and optional email address. The endpoint stores a one-way hash derived from IP address and a hash of the user-agent string for basic abuse control.
If you join the Evidence Brief, Useworthy stores the email address you provide, the time of signup, signup source, and one-way IP/user-agent hashes for abuse control and consent records.
Why we process it
Evidence submissions are used to review and correct records. Evidence Brief email addresses are used only to send Useworthy editorial/evidence updates unless you separately agree to something else.
Do not submit sensitive material
Do not upload or paste faces, precise home addresses, private garden maps, confidential customer data, account credentials, proprietary files or information you do not have permission to share.
Publication
Evidence submissions are not published automatically. Useworthy may summarize or edit accepted evidence for clarity, remove personal information and link to public sources where appropriate.
Retention and requests
You may request access, correction, deletion or removal from the Evidence Brief by contacting contact@useworthy.org.
Automated agents, crawler and API logs
Useworthy allows public search and AI agents to access public evidence. To understand machine usage and protect the service, recognized automated requests may be logged with timestamp, requested path, user-agent, referrer and a one-way hash derived from the IP address. API and MCP requests may be logged in the same limited way. These logs are used for security, capacity planning, attribution analysis and development of machine-access services, not for behavioral advertising.
Third-party links
Useworthy links to manufacturers, publications, video platforms and other sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
